For the past 40 years, Markaids has been providing ingredient solutions and innovations to food manufacturers in Malaysia and Singapore. Throughout these years, Markaids has remained dedicated to our clients by fulfilling their growing and ever-changing needs. Markaids (Malaysia) was incorporated on the 20th of December, 1977 in Damansara Uptown, Petaling Jaya by Mr Leong Siew Seng.
Established our first overseas branch in Singapore on the 29th of January, 1980.
Markaids headquarters (HQ) relocated to SS2, Petaling Jaya and a new branch was opened in Ipoh.
Established a branch in Penang to improve commercial coverage in Malaysia.
Appointed by Budenheim to distribute phosphate blends for bakery, dairy applications, seafood, and processed meat.
Began our partnership with Nexira, the world leader in acacia gum.
Established partnership with Lesaffre, the global baker’s and brewer’s yeast extract producer.
Ventured into manufacturing and blending of ingredients at the Markaids HQ.
Appointed by Sino Thai to distribute modified tapioca starch and pregel starch for food-grade purposes.
Began distribution of soy protein from Sinoglory.
Established partnership with J. Rettenmaier & Söhne GmbH + Co KG (JRS), for distribution of functional fibers for dairy, bakery, vegetarian, processed meat, and seafood applications.
Successfully obtained our first HALAL certification for manufactured products on the 1st of February, 2009.
Enhanced quality by obtaining the Food Safety Management System certificate ISO 22000.
Began our partnership with Akay, one of the leading exporters of spices across the world.
Relocate to Seksyen 51a to accommodate a larger team, higher manufacturing capacity in line with the company’s expansion plan.
